Grivel Air Tech Crampon

Air Tech represents a new generation of crampons. Ten points in contact with the ice while you’re walking, 12 that bite into the slope during traverses. Suitable for all types of mountaineering use except perhaps the upper technical grades. This has been made possible because the third pair of points are shorter and wider apart. On top of this the last two front points have a double angulation to maintain bite when descending or traversing sideways. The crampons points are short and designed for the new requirements of “mixed modern climbing” alternating ice and rock. The New Matic binding has a pre-formed toe cap, and an adjustable heel clip that will snap into place on the heel lip that now comes as standard on many 3-4 season and Alpine type boots. There is also a security strap for extra confidence. Air Tech crampons fit most winter boots exceptionally well with the crampon points being evenly distributed across the whole area of the sole. All adjustments can be made by hand and without tools. They come in one fully adjustable size. This is a true all-round crampon. It is very light in weight (900gr approx.), and because it folds, takes up only a little rucsack space.
